Charley Hays, 65, Dies in Des Moines Hospital on Tues.
Charley Otto Hays, 65, Mingo, died at the Des Moines General Hospital this morning. He was the son of Charles Edward and Orlettie Hays. He was born March 4, 1899 at Mingo.
Hays was educated in the rural schools near Mingo. After his schooling he farmed near Mingo with his parents. They moved to Wisconsin where they farmed from 1917 until 1932 when they returned to Iowa.
Survivors are five sisters, Myrtle Eatwell, Mingo; Mrs. Keith (Pansy) Munson of Cambridge; Mrs. Emma Meyers, Maxwell; Mrs. Claude Addone, Phoenix; Mrs. Si (Leora) O’Connell, Phoenix; three brothers, Ralph of Minneapolis, Minn., Harry of Farrar and Donald of Colfax.
Services will be in the Methodist Church in Mingo Thursday at 2 p. m. Rev. Max Hall will be in charge. Burial will be in the Ashton Chapel Cemetery. Boyd-Nicoll Funeral Home, Baxter is in charge.
