Lafe Eubank, 85, of Nevada died Sunday at the Story County Hospital in Nevada.
Eubank, an Indiana native, had lived in Story and Jasper counties most of his life. A retired farmer, he was a past chairman, of the Golden Age Club of Nevada.
Eubank is survived by 2 sons, Keith of Nevada and Dwight of Dodge Center, Minn.; by a daughter, Mary Nelson of Urbana, Ill.; by 3 sisters, Gladys O’Mara of Des Moines, Chrystal Collins of Des Moines and Vera Danielson of Nevada; and by 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Lena Skinner; by his parents, Elise M. and May Louise Hill Eubank; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p. m. at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. The Rev. John Chadwick will officiate, with burial in the Ashton Chapel Cemetery in Jasper County.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
