PORTLAND, Ore. — James Frances Biggane, 98, of Portland, Ore., formerly of Newton, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at the home of his daughter, Mary Hulscamp, in Portland, Ore.

Private burial will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Moline, Ill.

97207, or the Jasper County Historical Society.

He worked as manager of Industrial Engineering at the Maytag Company.
