Mrs. J. E. Sipe Dies
Died Suddenly New Year’s Night From Heart Trouble
Reasnor, Iowa – Mrs. J. E. Sipe, prominent woman of Jasper county, died suddenly New Year’s evening at 7:30 o’clock at her home here while she and members of her family were reading the evening papers.
Heart trouble has been assigned as the cause of her death, but she has never been ill or complained of any ailments as far as members of her family can learn.
New Year’s day she planned and cooked a dinner for her family and some friends and was apparently in robust health.
Emma Baine, daughter of Magdelene Farmer and Hamilton Baine, was born 53 years ago in Reasnor on the farm on which she died.
Mrs. Sipe was a member of the Methodist church and all of the allied organizations. She also was a prominent member of the Pythian Sister lodge and the Woman’s Relief Corps.
Mrs. Sipe leaves her husband and three sons, Omar, of California, Clark and Hollis at home. She is also survived by her sister, Mrs. Vern Wheeler of Reasnor and her brother Fred Baine of Fayette, Idaho.
No funeral arrangements will be announced until after the arrival home of Omar.
