Robert (Bob) Leroy Trotter, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on July 21, 2023 after a battle with cancer. Bob was born on August 21, 1952 in Newton, Iowa to Robert Leroy Trotter, Sr. and Phyllis Talbot Trotter. After graduation from Newton High School, Bob went on to study at the Des Moines Area Community College. He went to work at the Maytag Company in Industrial Engineering and worked his way to Production Department Head positions. Bob retired and eventually settled in Kansas City.

Bob was married to the love of his life, Susan Umbarger, in May of 1978. Bob is survived by his wife Sue, two daughters, Brianna Trotter (Tyler Walker) Bethany Kuçana (Arber Kuçana), and three grandchildren: Kirsten Walker, Phoenix Kuçana and Sophia Kuçana. He is also survived by his mother, Phyllis Trotter and his brother, Steve Trotter along with many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his father Bob Sr., sister Gloria Springer, and brother Ron Trotter.

Bob didn’t want a funeral service. However, memorials in Bob’s name can be directed to Newton High School music or athletic programs of the donor’s choice.

If you knew Bob, you know he loved his rock music, fishing, wife, and family. He appreciated keeping up with his longtime friends through social media and enjoyed a good laugh whenever possible. His loss will be felt by many forever. ~ Charter Funerals, Gladstone, MO 21 July 2023.
