Robert Earl Cobler, 81, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on February 8, 2023 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice Center.

Robert was born on June 11, 1941 in Hawley, Minnesota to Earl C. and Floretta J. Cobler. He moved to Jonesboro in 1980 and retired from Skil Bosch in Walnut Ridge in 2001.

Robert was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He enjoyed watching classic movies and television. Traveling was something Robert loved most. He lived in England for two years where he caught the travel bug and took many memorable trips around Europe.

Robert married his loving wife, Billie, on April 1, 1989.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Floretta Cobler; sister, Patricia Winchell; and brother, Leo "Nip" Cobler.

He is survived by his wife of almost 34 years, Billie Cobler of Jonesboro; daughters, Susan Card of Oklahoma, Lynn Cobler of Texas, and Donna (John) Kent of Georgia; sons, Danny Lopez of Missouri, and Ben (Becky) Barnes of Lake City; and his and Billie's "other girl," Debbie Qualtieri.

Other survivors include his sisters Marlene Waddle of Iowa, Bonnie (Fred) Simons of Iowa, Vicky (Terry) Gaer of Colorado, Sandra (Bill) Johnson of Missouri, and Michelle (Terry) Stone of Missouri; grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff) Taylor of Oklahoma, Casey Card of Texas, Leah Seaton of Texas, Darien (Justin) Cauble of Texas, Susie Mason of Iowa, Jarrod (Tina) Kent of Georgia, Allison Burch of Jonesboro, Christina (Matt) Laughter of Florida, and Laura (Jessie) Harper of Georgia, Natasha VonSande of Missouri; 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a lifetime of friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice Center, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Arkansas Children's Hospital, or a charity of your choice.

There will be a memorial service on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Arkansas Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye: 3600 Hwy 163, Birdeye, AR 72324.
