Virginia “Ginny” Renfro, age 86 of Colfax, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Heritage Manor in Newton. Services were held Friday at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax with burial following at McKeever Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Virginia Renfro Memorial Fund and online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The daughter of Tom and Amy Crutcher, Virginia was born on January 17, 1921 in Mill Grove, Missouri, and lived there until she was married to Russell Renfro on December 10, 1938. Virginia lived around Princeton, Missouri until moving to Colfax in 1957. Virginia worked at Easter’s Grocery, the variety store and Mary Hartnett’s Café. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and each and every one had their special place in her heart.
She is survived by a son Jimmie Renfro of Colfax and a daughter Nancy Reed (Keith) of Colfax, a niece she helped raise Karen Lewis (Russell) of Colfax, Karen Renfro (Ray) of Colfax, one sister, Ferris Allen of Casa Grande, Arizona, and nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a granddaughter, a grandson, 8 brothers and sisters, several nieces and nephews, and a nephew that she helped raise, Ray Renfro.
