Funeral services for Park F. Pierce, 79, of Colfax, will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Colfax, of which he was a member.
The Rev. Jerry Harris, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery in Colfax.
Friends may call today at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax today where the family will be present tonight from 7 to 8 p.m.
Memorials to the American Heart Association will be accepted.
Mr. Pierce died Sunday, Jan. 19, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Born Sept. 23, 1917, in Des Moines, he was the son of Fay and Margaret Lynch Pierce.
A lifelong resident of Colfax, he married Norma M. McKeever Jan. 12, 1941, in Mercer Mo.
He is survived by his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald Park and Michelle of Council Bluffs and Randall Dale and JoAnn of Colfax; a daughter and son-in-law, Roxann Marie Pierce and Randy Cramer of Omaha, Neb.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Melvin, Lenard and Willis; and three sisters, Gertrude Warrick, Irene Warrick and Wilma Hill; all of Colfax.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Eugene; two half-brothers, William and Leroy Pierce: and two brothers in infancy.
