Colfax – Margaret G. Lynch Pierce, 91, a longtime resident of the Colfax community, died Monday, Dec. 26, at the Clear View Manor in Prairie City.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Colfax.
The Rev. Tom Mabe, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery, north of Colfax.
Friends may call at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax after noon Wednesday and family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials to the Colfax First Baptist Church may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors are four sons, Melvin, Park, Lenard and Willis, all of Colfax; and three daughters, Gertrude Warrick, Irene Warrick and Wilma Hill, all of Colfax; 31 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers in infancy; two sons in infancy; a son, Eugene, and three grandchildren.
The daughter of John and Katherine Brogan Lynch, she was born Aug 23, 1897 in Vail.
She was married to Fay Pierce Nov. 11, 1913 in Elk Point, S.D.
