Frank Morgan Died Thursday October 25th
Frank Morgan, 83, a longtime resident of Colfax, died Thursday, October 25th at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Walter Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Robert Jones, pastor of the Christian Church in Colfax, conducted the services. Burial was in McKeever Cemetery, north of Colfax.
Survivors are his wife, Blanch; a son, Gary Morgan of Bondurant; a daughter, Mrs. James (Bertha) Hamil of Des Moines; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Charlotte Bloomquist of Phoenix, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Adele Lester, and a grandchild.
Mr. Morgan was a member of the Christian Church in Colfax and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Colfax.
A retired farmer, Mr. Morgan was born Feb. 6, 1890 in Plummer Grove near Colfax.
He was married to Viola Blanch Briles April 26, 1919 in Des Moines.
