Services for Mrs. Eliza Merritt To Be Here Friday
Mrs. Eliza Merritt, 83, a former Colfax resident, died Tuesday morning at her home in West Des Moines. Mrs. Merritt had been in failing health for some time and the last few weeks failed rapidly.
Short funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 at the undertaking parlor in West Des Moines and the regular service will be held at three o’clock that afternoon at the Christian Church in Colfax. Interment will be at McKeevers Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. William Jones of Alhambra, California, and four sons Tom and George Merritt of California and John and Arthur of West Des Moines. A niece Mrs. Dave Davis and nephew Sam Jones are residents of Colfax.
