Mrs. Merritt Is Dead at 76
Mrs. Byrd Merritt, 76, of 201 ½ Fifth St., West Des Moines, died Wednesday of cancer at the Highland Park Nursing Home. She was ill several months.
Mrs. Merritt was born in Red Rock and lived in West Des Moines for many years. She was a member of the West Des Moines Methodist Church.
Surviving are a brother, Harry Hollingsworth of Indianola and a sister, Mrs. J. B. Collins of Tulsa, Okla.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at McLaren’s Funeral Home. Burial will be at McKeever Cemetery near Colfax.
