Eva K. Maxwell Services Today; Dies on Friday
Colfax – Mrs. Harold (Eva Katherine) Maxwell, 64, of Colfax died Friday at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held today at the Colfax Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
The Rev. Gerard Kulleck, supply pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in the McKeever Cemetery north of Colfax.
Rosary was conducted Sunday.
Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax as in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Barbara Ann) Smith of Colfax and Mrs. Ron (Nancy Kay) Bruxvoort of Colfax; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Jack (Mary) Freestone and Mrs. Orval (Frieda) Teed, both of Colfax, and Mrs. Melvin (Margaret) Guy of Mitchellville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Maxwell was a member of the Colfax Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary of Colfax.
Mrs. Maxwell had been employed at Stroup Grocery and more recently at the Colfax Variety Store.
The daughter of George and Margaret Kennedy Gibson, she was born Oct. 29, 1912 in Colfax.
She was married to Harold Maxwell March 17, 1934 in Des Moines.
