Damon Nathan Howell, newborn, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. James Black officiating. Burial wil be at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The son of Carlo Jo (Collins) Anderson and Chris C. Howell of Newton, he was born Friday, Aug. 19, in Newton.

Survivors include five brothers, James, Cody and Justin, all of Newton, and Cory and Jacob of Boone; a sister, Savannah of Newton; maternal grandmother, Katherine Collins of Blythedale, Mo.; and paternal grandmother, Joy Harris of Summersville, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bernard "Sam" Collins; his paternal grandfather, Chuck Howell; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
