Sharon L. Brue, 62, of Norwalk died of cancer Monday, Aug. 29, 2005.

Funeral services will be Friday at noon at Southtown Funeral Home in Norwalk. Burial will be at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery. A luncheon is planned at the Izaak Walton League Clubhouse in Newton, following the burial, at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Life Assembly of God Church or Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House.

The daughter of Erma and Bud Behrens, she was born Nov. 13, 1942, in Scott City, Kan. When she was 14, she moved to Newton with her family. She graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1960 and then married Jim Brue in Newton.

Following their marriage, they moved to Kansas, where he was stationed in the U.S. Army. After his death in Vietnam in 1972, she moved to Norwalk with her three children. She resided there until her death.

Mrs. Brue worked for 10 years at Woolco as jewelry manager. Then she went to the Des Moines Airport where she held the position of security manager until 1992. She started work at CDS in 1992 and held various positions, with her current being trainer in the printing technologies department.

Survivors include her mother, Erma L. Behrens of Carlisle; a daughter, Cindy (Bob) Kleywegt of Altoona; a son Kevin of Norwalk; a daughter-in-law, Rickie Brue of Ottumwa; six grandchildren; a sister, Thanna (Gene) Salisbury of Des Moines; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her two sons, Jimmy and Christopher; her father, Bud Behrens; and her sister Ada Blauvelt.
