Adjudged Insane
Mrs. Hattie Bailey, wife of George Bailey of near Colfax was adjudged insane Monday and was taken from Newton to Mt. Pleasant the same evening. More than twenty years ago Mrs. Bailey had an attack of meningitis and it is thought that this may have had something to do with her condition.

Harriet’s parents were father: Soloman Dickey, b. 30 Mar 1828 in Athens County, OH d: 6 Jan 1905 in Des Moines, IA, buried 8 Jan 1905 McKeever Cemetery, Jasper County, IA; mother: Rebecca Jane Barker, b. 25 Dec 1839 in Indiana
Harriet’s siblings were John Anderson Dickey, Lellia Etta Dickey Armstrong, Mary Ellen Dickey Whitney (d. & bur. Maxwell), Nellie Melvina Dickey Cummings, Nora Dickey, Ollie Cordilla Dickey Whitney (b. Iowa), Sibble Eleanor Dickey, and Richard Alvin Dickey (b: 11 Jan 1862 in Jasper County, IA d: 13 Jun 1937 in Reydon, OK, buried White Rose Cem, Rankin, Roger Mills Co, OK; married Sharlottie Longcor on September 28, 1887 in Gaylord, Smith Co., Kansas (b: 24 Jun 1867 in Iowa)
