Mrs. Van Manen Dies in Hospital; Rites Wednesday
Sully – Mrs. John (Maatje) Van Manen, 86, a longtime resident of Sully, died Sunday night in Pella Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sully First Reformed Church.
The Rev. Wayne Tripp, minister of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Sully Cemetery.
Garden Chapel in Pella is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are three sons, Don of Reasnor, Peter of Lynnville and Art of Sully; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Nellie) Vander Wilt of Pella and Mrs. Marion (Gertie) Verwers of Kellogg; 18 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Van Manen was born April 28, 1882, in The Netherlands.
She had been a resident of a Pella nursing home for some time.
