Mary Hutchinson Dies; Funeral Rites Thursday

Miss Mary A. Hutchinson, 46, of Fort Dodge, died late Monday evening at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines. She had been a patient in the Des Moines hospital since she was injured when struck by a car in Des Moines more than two weeks ago.

The car-pedestrian accident in which Miss Hutchinson was fatally injured occurred on May 24. Authorities said the Fort Dodge woman stepped off a curb into the path of a car. The driver of the car was not held.

The body has been returned to Fort Dodge and is at Bruces. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon at the funeral home.

Miss Hutchinson, who made her home in the Warden apartments had been a resident of Fort Dodge for more than 25 years.

She was office manager of the Leitch Realty Company, and had held that position for a number of years.

A member of the First Methodist Church of Fort Dodge, she also belonged to the Wa-Tan-Ye organization.

Surviving her are five brothers and five sisters, including Mrs. Clarence Chalstrom of this city. Her parents preceded her in death.

Note: Mary Anna Hutchinson was born in Kellogg, Jasper County, Iowa on September 8, 1906. Her parents were William and Anna Williams Hutchinson of Kellogg. She died June 8, 1953, In Des Moines, Iowa.
