Alice Hutchinson Chalstrom

Alice Chalstrom, 92, Friendship Haven West, Fort Dodge, died Thursday at Trinity Regional Hospital.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bruce’s Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carroll Usher, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include sons, Clayton, Fort Dodge, and Donald, Marion; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Zella Bergeson, Whittemore. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; five brothers; four sisters; and one grandchild.

Alice Hutchinson was born May 4, 1901 at Kellogg. She attended school at Wesley. In 1926 she married Carl V. Chalstrom at First Methodist Church in Fort Dodge. She had lived in Fort Dodge since 1919. Carl died in 1970.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
