Rites at Baxter For Mrs. Bishop
Services for Mrs. Katheryne Bishop, 46, of 1400 Tenth St., who died of cancer Thursday at Broadlawns General hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Congregational Church at Baxter, with burial in the cemetery there.
Born in Melbourne, she had lived in Baxter 25 years before coming to Des Moines five years ago. She was a member of the Congregational Church at Shields, N.D. She had been a waitress at Elloth’s Café three years, before ill health caused her to retire two months ago.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Stella Dybing of Seattle, Wash.; her mother, Mrs. Minnie Duffy, of Jamestown, N.D., and a half brother, Daniel Duffy of Manderson, S. D.
