Mingo Man Dies Sunday Evening
Alfred M. Hulse, a prominent retired farmer of Mingo, died Sunday evening at 10 o’clock with heart trouble after a ten days illness.
Mr. Hulse was born in Michigan City, Indiana sixty-six years ago and came to Jasper county when he was thirty years of age where he has remained ever since. He was married to Miss Clara Monahan in 1878. To this union ten children were born all of whom are living. Mr. Hulse was a man prominent in the affairs in the community in which he lived and one willing to assume responsibilities in helping others.
Those who survive him are his widow and children, Mrs. Josie Failes, of Foswell, New Mexico, Mrs., Mayme Gagle of Great Falls, Montana, Mrs. Dela Everett of Colfax, Vern Hulse of Lohrville, Floyd Hulse of Mingo, Earl Hulse of Newton, Harvey Hulse, Des Moines, Mrs. Leota Black of Blairstown, Lloyd Hulse of Van Meter, Otha Hulse of Mingo, two brothers Walter Hulse of Greencastle, and Frank Hulse of Arizona and one sister, Mrs. Mary Fowler of Huntington Beach, California.
Earl Hulse went to Mingo late Sunday night after receiving word of his father’s death and Mrs. Hulse went Monday morning.
No funeral arrangements have been announced.
