William "Bill" Edward Beeler
July 1, 1942 ~ November 28, 2022 (age 80)

William “Bill” Edward Beeler, 80, of Colfax, died on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Iowa Veteran’s Home in Marshalltown. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, at the funeral home. Memorials in Bill’s name (checks made payable to Andrea Beeler) may be left at the funeral home.

Bill, the son of Lyle and Bettie (Snyder) Beeler, was born on July 1, 1942, in Grinnell. He grew up in Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1960. He served his country in the U.S. Army in 1968 before being honorably discharged to return home to help his family. Bill was a truck driver, starting his career at Rebel Supply and later was a self-employed owner/operator working for many area companies. On August 23, 1968, Bill was united in marriage with Charlotte Tone in Unionville, Missouri. In the early 1970’s, they moved to Colfax. They enjoyed camping especially at Adventureland during the 4th of July and the Iowa State Fair.

Bill is survived by his wife Charlotte Beeler of Colfax; children, Brent (Nicole) Bailey of Alabama, Roger (Angela) Beeler of Texas, Rob Beeler of State Center, Iowa, Rodney Beeler (Michelle Lewis) of Estero, Florida, and Andrea Beeler (Randy Temple) of Colfax; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his mother, Bettie Beeler of Grinnell; brother, Duane (Diane) Beeler of Grinnell; and his niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Beeler and brother, Terry Beeler.
