Harry Grosvenor of Colfax Dies on Way to Work
Colfax, March 28 – Special to The Daily News – Harry Grosvenor, 70, a Colfax miner, died on his way to work in No. 9 mine this morning. He took sick on his way to work to the mine which is about two and one-half miles from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Barker, where he was living, and was taken immediately to the Colfax Sanitarium but died before reaching the sanitarium. Death was thought to be almost instantaneous, coming as the result of heart trouble due to a stroke some time ago.
Mr. Grosvenor had lived in Colfax for many years and is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Amy Whitelaw of Chicago and Mrs. Barker of Colfax, and by two sons, John Grosvenor of Colfax and Edward Grosvenor of Newton. Twelve grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife a few years ago.
No funeral services have been announced as yet.

Grosvenor Rites Will Be Tuesday
Colfax, Ia., March 30 – Funeral services for Harry Grosvenor, who died suddenly on his way to work in a local mine Saturday morning, will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist Episcopal church. The Rev. L. C. McDonald will be in charge.
Mr. Grosvenor’s death occurred from heart trouble, suffered after a stroke some time ago. He was a long-time resident of Colfax.
