Donald Emmack, Former Resident, Dies on Tuesday
Donald R. Emmack, 62, of 2712 Northeast Norwood Dr., Des Moines, a former resident of Newton and Colfax, died Tuesday at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hamilton Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial will be in the McKeever Cemetery near Colfax.
Memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation will be accepted.
Survivors are his wife, Harriet; a son, Eldon of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Karen Crouse of Gulfport, Miss., and Mrs. Carol Glessner of Des Moines; six grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Delwin Cross of Killduff.
Mr. Emmack was a member of the Prince of Peace Church in Des Moines and member of the 20-Year Club at Frye manufacturing, a firm from which he had retired in 1972 after being employed as a machine operator for many years.
The son of Clarence and Maggie Iske, he was born Sept. 13, 1915 at Newton.
