Mrs. J. M. Brown, Greencastle, Died Tuesday Morning
Funeral Services To Be Held Thursday From Mingo Church; Interment In McKeever Cemetery
Mrs. J. M. Brown, 544, died at her home at Greencastle Tuesday morning, death resulting from a malignancy which has kept her bedfast the past six months.
Mrs. Brown, nee Margaret Gibson, came to Iowa from Jefferson, Mo., and has been a resident in this vicinity since 1919.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. Frank Evans Jr., and Mrs. Sam Sage of Poweshiek township and a son, Howard Brown, stationed with the U.S. Army at Camp Dodge. Two grandchildren, five sisters and four brothers also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, March 25, at 2 o’clock at the Mingo Methodist church with Rev. B. H. Finch officiating.
Interment will be in the McKeever cemetery.
