Baxter – Debbie E. Williams Brightwell, 71, of Mingo died Friday, Oct. 16, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Karen Nichols, pastor of the Mingo United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the McKeever Cemetery, north of Colfax.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors are her husband, Verda; a son, Melvin Mohler of Lexington, Mo.; four daughters, Helen (Mrs. Dwight) McDaniel of Mystic, Berta DeVault of Broken Arrow, Okla., Rose (Mrs. Darrel) Hayes of Mingo and Elaine Huen of Eldora; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Lena Spooner of Des Moines, Anne Torsky of Polk City and Margaret Martz of Bethany, Mo.; and a brother, Samuel Williams of Ridgecrest, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two half-brothers, two half-sisters and two grandchildren.
The daughter of James Moore and Nellie Anne Reed Williams, she was born April 30, 1916 in Polk City.
She was married June 11, 1949 in Des Moines.
