Funeral services for David Harold Brafford, 73, a resident of Colfax for 40 years, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Colfax.
The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, and the Rev. Eldon Nolte, pastor of the Colfax United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the McKeever Cemetery, north of Colfax.
He died Wednesday at his home.
Survivors are his wife, Helen; a son, Richard of San Antonio, Tex.; two daughters, Judy Vanloozen of Colfax and Shirley Pike of Des Moines; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Daisy Jennings and Emma Terry, both of Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Mr. Brafford, a veteran of World War II, was a retired Maytag Co. machinist.
He was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church and the American Legion.
The son of Richard and Catherine Weaver Brafford, he was born Dec. 27, 1909 in Des Moines.
He was married to Helen Lloyd in Blair, Neb.
