NEWTON - Lloyd Ludwick, 82, of Newton, died Saturday, June 1, at Heritage Manor Care Center in Newton.

His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sully Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Sully. Burial: Salem Cemetery, Lynnville. Memorials: Heritage Manor Care Center in Newton. Visiting hours at the funeral home begin 5 p.m. today, and continue 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday, with family present noon-2 p.m. Tuesday.

Lloyd Ludwick was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Jasper County to Ray and Jennie Monsma Ludwick. On Feb. 25, 1941, he married Helen Grace Keylor.

He had lived 14 years in Newton, and the rest of his life in the Lynnville area. He was a farmer, and retired in 1975. He enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Lorrie Ludwick of Lynnville; three daughters and sons-in-law: Marge and James W. Stevens of Newton, Linda and Willis Pierce of Colfax, and Joan and Mark Stanley of Grinnell; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law: Mildred and Kenneth Ratcliff of Sully.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
