SULLY - Max W. Antle, 87, of Sully, died Thursday, May 17, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
His funeral service was held May 21 at the Christian Reformed Church in Newton. Burial: Sully Cemetery. Sully Garden Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Hospice of Jasper County.
Max W. Antle was born May 2, 1914, in rural Kellogg, to Charles and Carrie DeBondt Antle.
He married Jennetta Van Wyk in Sully on Nov. 14, 1939. He had lived 20 years in Sully, and had farmed west of Killduff the rest of his life. He retired in 1981. He was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Newton. He enjoyed his family and visiting with friends.
He is survived by his wife, Jennetta Antle of Sully; a daughter and son-in-law: Barb and Darrel Jansen of Sully; a son and daughter-in-law: Wes and Barb Antle of rural Sully; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Cassel Antle; and a sister-in-law, Marie Antle.
