Christen Deffany Kirsch, stillborn child of David Kirsch and Steffany Sarten of Newton, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

A private family burial will be in the Babyland section of Newton Union Cemetery at a later date. No visitation is scheduled. Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

Survivors include her parents; maternal grandparents, Susan (Dean) Neevel of San Manuel, Ariz., and Jerry Sarten of Arizona; paternal grandparents, John Kirsch of Newton and Kim (Ryan) Brunner of Apple Valley, Calif.; maternal great-grandmother, Willie Gungl of Coolridge, Ariz.; paternal great-grandparents, Alvin J. Kirsch of Newton and Linda (Richard) Hansen of Glendora, Calif.; paternal great-great-grandmother, Kathryn Batch of Seal Beach, Calif.; and several aunts and uncles.
