Northa E. Sedars, 70, of 2732 John Patterson Road died of cancer Monday at home. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. today at Capitol Hill Christian Church. The body has been cremated and inurnment will be in Vandalia Cemetery in Vandalia.
Mrs. Sedars was born in Vandalia and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She retired in 1970 from Charter Data Services and had been a member of Sheridan park Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond J.; a daughter, Kristi Wood of Des Moines; two sons, Kent Albaugh of Des Moines and Terry Gwinn of Kewanee, Ill.; a sister, Clella Lovell of Vandalia; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Grandview Funeral Home handled the cremation.
