Hal D. Rogers, 84, of 7118 Bellaire Ave., Windsor Heights, died of a heart ailment Tuesday at home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at McLaren’s Funeral Home in West Des Moines. Private graveside services will be held at Vandalia Cemetery.
Mr. Rogers was born in Lamoni and had lived in the Des Moines area for many years. He was retired from the Industrial Engineering Department of Meredith Corp., a Civil Air Patrol veteran of World War II and a member of Westkirk Presbyterian Church, Golden K Kiwanis, Des Moines Men’s Garden Club, High Twelve, Za Ga Zig Shrine, Consistory, Polk County Shrine Club and Waveland Masonic Lodge.
His wife, Emma survives.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
