A graveside service for Charles E. Connett, 82, of 1409 Lewis St., who died of a respiratory ailment Thursday at Veterans Administration medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Vandalia Cemetery.
Mr. Connett was born in Jasper County and was a Des Moines resident most of his life. He was a painter and was a World War II Navy veteran.
Survivors include three sisters, Gertrude M. Armstrong and Marie A. Lowe, both of Des Moines, and Helen L. Connett of Pryor, Okla.
Friends may call after noon today at Hamilton’s Funeral Home.
