Craig W. Fitzgerald, 75, of Collins died of a heart ailment Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Altoona Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ashton Chapel Cemetery in Mingo.
Mr. Fitzgerald was born in Chicago and lived in the Collins area most of his life. He was office manager for Joy Fitzgerald Inc., a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Masonic Lodge in Ames, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, York Rite Masons and Story County Shrine Club.
His wife Joy survives.
The family will visit with friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ashton Chapel Church.
