Juanita Mae Cox, 72, of Altoona Manor, 200 Seventh Ave. S.W., died of cancer there Wednesday. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Altoona Funeral Home, and burial will be at Ashton Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Cox was born in Des Moines and moved to Altoona 27 years ago. She retired as a sales clerk for Younkers Department Store.
Among survivors are her husband, Lloyd; a daughter, Karen Kittell of Grimes; a son, Michael of Des Moines; two sisters, Frances Conkel of Polk City and Dorothy Ness of Huxley; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Kavanagh House.
