Services Held For Hazel Zimmerman
Mrs. Elmer (Hazel) Zimmerman, 72, a longtime resident of the Baxter community, died Saturday evening, July 12, at the Jasper County Care Facility, southeast of Newton.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Baxter.
The Rev. T. A. Thompson, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in the Union Chapel Cemetery north of Mingo.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. James (Irma) Sapp of Des Moines; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; four sisters, Mrs. Janette Galigous and Mrs. Caroline Guthrie, both of Sacramento, California, Mrs. Ethel Filoon of Toledo and Mrs. Leona Isenhower of Dell Pass Heights, California; and two brothers, Cecil Addy of Sacramento, Calif., and William Addy of Toledo.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965, a son and her parents.
Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Toledo.
The daughter of Franklin and Alberta Stewart Addy, she was born May 10, 1903, in Shellsburg.
She was married to Elmer Zimmerman December 25, 1929 at Toledo.
