Ethel Wiley Dies Sunday, April 27th
Mrs. Floyd (Ethel) Wiley, 86, of Mingo died Sunday April 27, at her home.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mingo United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Lester Hesseltiine, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in the Ashton Chapel Cemetery, north of Mingo.
Memorial contributions to the Ashton Chapel will be accepted.
Survivors are a son, Dale of Collins; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Viva) Connelly of Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. Francis (Marjorie) Southern, (Lorene) Schweinebart of Rhodes; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jan. 6, 1943, three brothers and three sisters.
The daughter of Albert and Delilah Deeter Berry, she was born July 4, 1888 at Clyde and attended Jasper County schools.
She was married July 7, 1916 at Boone.
Mrs. Wiley, a resident of the Clear Creek community from 1918 until 1968, also had resided in Blackhawk County.
Organist-Mrs. Francis Schaumberg. Soloist-Mr. Francis Schaumberg. Flowers-Edith Nickell and Mrs. jack Womeldorff.
Pallbearers-Ed Haley, Wayne Brandt, Marion Mullihan, Jack Womeldorff, Melvin Pierce and Tom Davenport.
