Ruby Huffaker, 84, of Nevada and formerly of Baxter died Friday at Rolling Green Village of a heart ailment. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Bethany United church of Christ with the Rev. Jerry Ireland officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.
Ruby Huffaker was born May 25, 1916, in Mingo, the daughter of Ralph and Christina (Neal) Osborne. She was raised and educated in Des Moines. She married Dale W. Huffaker Aug. 31, 1933, in Des Moines. She was a homemaker. They lived in Farrar, Collins and Rhodes before moving to Baxter in 1981. He was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ, the Baxter Garden Club and the Card Club. She served as a national flower judge.
She is survived by two sons, Darwin Huffaker of Mingo and Max Huffaker of Colo; one daughter, Norma Barker of Bowling Green, Ky.; one sister, Mildred Winters of Marshalltown; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and one sister.
Boyd-Davis Funeral Home in Baxter is in charge of arrangements.
