Those left to honor Clinton's memory are his wife, Margaret of Newton; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Mark Stotts of Des Moines, Iowa and Kurt and Susan Stotts of Des Moines; his 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Dr. Cynthia Stotts and Peter Neilsen of Los Angeles, California and Krisan and Dave Miller of Des Moines; and 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Melvin Stotts.

Clinton graduated for Newton High School and received his BA from the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
