Former Resident Dies At Grinnell
Paul Grosvenor, 51, of Grinnell, well known blind musician, died Monday at Tiny Acres in Grinnell. He was born in Colfax and had resided at Newton from 1928 to 1955.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson Funeral Home in Newton.
The Rev. Alvin Turnipseed of the Four Square Church in Mingo will conduct the services.
Burial will be in the McKeever Cemetery.
Survivors are a brother, Delmar of Kellogg; a sister, Mrs. Jesse (Bettie) Cockerham of Des Moines; two nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Mr. Grosvenor had been an organist for many bands, churches and skating rinks.
The son of Edward and Effie Kelly Grosvenor, he was born Nov. 28, 1920 in Colfax and was a graduate of the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School at Vinton.
