At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Cummings, in this place, at about 5 o’clock Saturday morning, January 10, 1891, occurred the death of Mrs. Delight Piper Sewell, who, had she lived until the 22d of next December would have been 90 years sold. The funeral took place from the house at 10 o’clock Sunday morning, and was conducted by Rev. A. E. Griffith, pastor of the M. E. church. The remains were taken to the McKeever cemetery, 9 miles northeast of here, and laid away by the side of her husband. (Mitchellville Index, Jan. 16)
