After several weeks of serious illness Mrs. C. W. Pierce passed away Sunday.
Audrey Pearl Kindig, the deceased, the daughter of John and Margaret Kindig, was born in Jasper county, October 19, 1881 and departed this life September 5, 1926 aged 44 years, 10 months and 17 days.
She was united in marriage to Charles W. Pierce on October 21, 1903. To this union were born five children, three boys, Cloris, Maurice and Donald; and two girls, Edna and Marguerite, all of whom are living.

This deceased sister was devoted to her family while living, and was solicitous of her children’s welfare, almost to the last moments of her life. For some time sister Pierce was conscious that she could not get well. Her husband and family did all that was humanly possible to mitigate her sufferings and to comfort her to the last.
This Christian woman had a host of friends and neighbors who will feel very keenly the loss of a dear friend.
May a Divine Providence deal greatly and assuage the grief of the loved ones that are left to mourn her departure. – A Friend.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 7th at 1 p.m. from the Christian church with Rev. Foglesong in charge. Interment was made at McKeever cemetery.
