Indianapolis, Ind.--Funeral services for James R. Mackey, 81, of Indianapolis, Ind., a former resident of Newton, will be held Thursday, May 11, at the Lauck Funeral Home in Indianapolis.

Survivors are two sisters, Ethel Hannagan of Newton, and Leota Van Blarieum of Indianapolis, Ind. And several nieces and nephews including, Donna (Mrs. Terry) Fink of Newton.

Mr. Mackey, a mechanic for the Allied Truck Equipment Co. for more than 45 years, until retiring in the late 1970’s was educated in Newton schools.

An Army Air Force veteran of World War II, he had served in the Indiana National Guard, retiring with the rank of master sergeant.
