M. F. Berkley of Mingo returned Tuesday morning from a business trip of a few days at Omaha and called at the Clipper office to state to us that he had received bad news from home in his absence. He referred to deaths in his immediate neighborhood. Mrs. Conrad Hay died suddenly of heart trouble. She had been ill for several days. Mrs. Sol Adams died about the same time. She followed to the spirit land their infant born a few weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Osborne lost their two-days old babe on Monday. Another death is that of Miss Edgerly of Seattle, Washington, whose remains were brought by her sister, Miss Clara Edgerly of Colfax, who had gone to the far west to be with her sister in her last illness. The Edgerly funeral occurred in Des Moines at two o’clock Tuesday. Mrs. Berkley and son Roscoe of Mingo attended the services, leaving via Colfax.
