Stroke Fatal To Passmore
John W. Passmore, 78, of Prairie City, died of a stroke Thursday at Riverview Manor, 701 Riverview St., after a two-month illness.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Vandalia Cemetery.
Mr. Passmore, a retired farmer, was born at Runnells and had lived in Prairie City seven years.
Surviving are his wife, Lucille; a son, Walter R. of Britt; four sisters, Mrs. Mollie Oberg, Mrs. Sarah Gregory and Ida Passmore, all of Des Moines, and Fannie Passmore of Luseland, Canada; two brothers, Buel and Everett of Des Moines; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
