Beria, Ohio----Hazel W. Wilson Mercer, 79, of Beria, Ohio, a former resident of Newton, died Wednesday May 3, at Berkley, W. VA.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ripepi Funeral Home in Parma, Ohio.

Survivors are a son, Jack Wilson of Santa Barbara, Calif., a daughter, Sherrill Compo of Beria, Ohio; a granddaughter; a brother, Maurice Kennan of Grinnell; and two sisters, Lois Olsen of Harrison, Mont. and Esther Hobbs of Yale.

Among those preceding her in death was a brother, Vincent Kennan.

She was born in North Dakota and resided for many years in Grinnell as well as Newton.
