Samuel Hauptly Dies Today; Rites Monday
Samuel C. Hauptly, 58, of the Jasper County Care Facility, died this morning at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Morris Hay, pastor of the Hickory Grove Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Saturday.
Survivors are his stepfather and mother, Clarence and Irene Fowler of Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Dorothy) Sincher of Tama and Mrs. Lawrence (Elsie) Kaldenberg of North Platte, Neb.; and his foster sister, Sarah Riddle of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Hauptly.
He was born Oct. 17, 1918 at Adel.
