Roxie Salsberry Dies Monday; Rites Thursday
Mrs. Cooney (Mary Roxie) Salsberry, 65, of 913 N. 8th Ave. E. a resident of Newton for 26 years, died Monday afternoon at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. William C. Hamilton, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Survivors are her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Harold L. and Linda Salsberry of Newton; and a granddaughter, Connie Salsberry of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter in infancy, two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Salsberry was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
The daughter of William and Luella Webb Vaughn, she was born Oct. 31, 1910 at Milan, Mo.
She was married Oct. 25 in Milan, Mo.
