John Murdock, Former Newburg Resident, Dies
Newburg – Funeral services for John Murdock of 4704 N. Talman, Chicago, Ill., a former resident of Newburg, were held recently in Chicago.
He died at his home.
Survivors are a brother, the Rev. Nelson Murdock of Gilman; four sisters, Mrs. Esther Anderson and Mrs. Naomie Chapman, both of Ames; Mrs. S. R. Paul of Los Vegas, Nev., and Mrs. Albert Antle of Zearing; and a cousin, Mrs. Charles Simonson of Marshalltown.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Murdock was born in Jasper County and was graduated from Newburg Community High School.
