Henry C. Lust Dies Thursday; Rites Saturday
Henry C. Lust, 77, of 423 E. 2nd St. N., a resident of Newton for 57 years, died Thursday afternoon at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Gregory Caldwell, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today.
Survivors are his wife, Eva; two sons, Charles H. and Robert J., both of Newton; five grandchildren; a brother, Melvin of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Mary Ellen Clark of Newton; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lust was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George.
A member of the Maytag 25-Year Club, he had been employed at the Maytag Co. for 37 years, retiring in 1960.
The son of Fred and Emma Danks Lust, he was born April 28, 1899 at Reasnor.
He was married to Eva Richards Aug. 30, 1919 at Newton.
